Some Mystery book recs…
I slowed down a bit with this genre.
Just as in prior years, I grabbed a library haul in October for spooky season, but it was smaller as I was behind on some social media bookish challenges. I also received several NetGalley ARCs of mysteries and thrillers throughout the year. But after leveraging audiobooks for the backlog mysteries on my TBR list, I’m back to needing to borrow ebooks or physical books to make some more headway in this genre.
Here is what I managed to complete since last summer:
Detective/Crime:
- Allison Brennan – The Wrong Victim
- Jane Casey – The Outsider
- Ann Cleeves – The Killing Stones
- Michael Connelly – Nightshade, Ironwood
Cozy Mystery:
- Elle Cosimano –Finlay Donovan Cross the Line
- Uzma Jalaluddin – Detective Aunty
- Jo Nichols – The Marigold Cottages Murder Collective
- Richard Osman – The Impossible Fortune
- Lev A.C. Rosen – The Disaster Gay Detective Agency
- Robert Thorogood – The Marlow Murder Club, Death Comes to Marlow, The Queen of Poisons
Thriller:
- Simone St. James – A Box Full of Darkness
Historical Mystery
- Tasha Alexander – The Sisterhood
- Celeste Connally – Revenge, Served Royal
- Claudia Gray – The Late Mrs. Willoughby, The Perils of Lady Catherine de Bourgh, The Rushworth Family Plot, The Fatal Unpleasantness at Netherfield
- Katie Lumsden – The Secrets of Hartwood Hall
- Deanna Raybourn – A Treacherous Curse, A Dangerous Collaboration, A Murderous Relation, An Unexpected Peril, An Impossible Imposter
- Lev A.C. Rosen – Mirage City
