Dare I say it?

This might be a writing slump.

Last week I got sucked into Dreamkeeper (book 3 of the Dreamcatcher series) but… I’m really just rereading a story I love because this book shares so much about Lincoln. My editing here is not a big investment because my writing group has only just begun to critique it, so I’m cleaning up little things here and there for funsies. I still need to edit the last few chapters of Dreamweaver, and I haven’t done major edits on Red Hour. It’s summer, I’m reading a lot, visiting family and friends, and having some book club meetings but there is very little movement on the writing front. I think I’m going to own up to this being a slump. It is what it is. I don’t know if I can dream up a new world or characters and pour my energy into a new creation, or if I can focus enough to actually make some bigger changes to Red Hour. Perhaps I will let this time off writing just be without judgment and see what happens in the coming weeks.
