Beth Green – Reader, Writer, Full-time Mom

I was born, raised, educated, and still live in Illinois. Over the years, the “What do you do for a living?” question has had a few answers, but one thing remained constant in my work life. One life goal kept popping up at leadership seminars: write a fantasy novel.

I stepped away from a decade-long job in higher education in order to be a full-time parent at home, and once the kids were both in school all day, I decided it was time to meet that life goal.

Instead of picking up the half-finished manuscript from my college days, I started fresh and haven’t stopped writing for more than a few days since.

My husband and two sons are enormously supportive of my need to read and write words during almost every free minute of my day. I am a lucky gal. (Thanks guys!)

My middle child (canine) is my constant companion when I write, either stretched across my feet or ‘helpfully’ putting his paws or snout on my laptop keys.

I hope the magical worlds of my mind spark the imagination of others.
