Approaching a finish line…
And looking ahead.
I have two chapters left to write for Shadow Walker. Two! I’m so excited that this manuscript is almost done. I know generally what happens in these two chapters and just need to sit down and write it already. I already wrote the last chapter and a short epilogue, so I just need to finish the climax. This dual POV werewolf and witch romantasy was different from my prior books in several ways and I loved every minute of the project. Once those two chapters are done, I might read the whole thing one more time before I put it aside for a while so I am fresh when it’s time to edit and prepare for beta readers.
This stage in the process also means that as I approach this finish line for Shadow Walker draft one, I’m also looking ahead at what’s next. The race analogy doesn’t really fit here because writing is a slow, enjoyable journey for me, but I’m ready to start the next project, set the next goal, determine what the next finish line looks like for me.
I decided to start actively editing Red Hour based on my beta reader feedback and start querying again with that book.
I’m so excited!
