Slow progress…

Is still progress!

January had a slow start for me due to the dreary, cold weather, the state of the world taking up my headspace, and having a college-age kid around that I love and wanted to hang out with. After taking him back out of state to start his next semester, my frame of mind and available time shifted, and I was able to get back to writing new content for Shadow Walker. I don’t keep tallies of my wordcount/productivity, but I’m happy to report that I have seven fully fleshed out chapters sitting in the last third of the book that were either nonexistent or only partially written before the holiday season. I love adding new scenes that connect chapters that I had already finished. I never write books from beginning to end because if a later-in-the-story scene is taking up my headspace, I write it out before it’s lost! But there is such satisfaction seeing my chapter map spreadsheet fill up as I complete these in-between chapters.

Fingers crossed that the creativity keeps flowing and I can finish this book soon!
