Happy almost Thanksgiving!
This year’s thoughts on gratitude.
I am immensely grateful for my husband’s love and partnership, for his resilience this past year getting back into physical shape and embracing his bicycling life again after a very scary accident, and for chasing his dreams and opening up his own veterinary practice.
I’m thankful that my son’s first semester of college brought new people and experiences into his life, that he’s thriving there, and that he’s home with us this holiday week. And grateful that my younger son is growing quickly in new routines, new activities and new skills in middle school.
I am thankful that everyone close to me is generally in good health or are on the road to recovery after some serious but manageable health issues.
I’m grateful for my reader, writer, full-time mom life, but now that I’m moving out of the busy season that focused on raising young children and diving into lots of volunteering, I’m also grateful to have some time and space to think about other areas I might invest time in in the future.
I am thankful for friends and family, my writing group, and the connections I’ve made with other readers and writers through social media, who bring me joy and challenge me to continue to learn and grow every day.
As the busy holiday season kicks off, I hope to start each day with thankfulness. This season is a time for hope, love, peace, compassion, and generosity.
Happy Holidays to all!
