Turning a corner…

To return to creativity.

I finished my quick review/edit of the Dreamcatcher series and it’s time to get creative again. I have a few scenes from last April with new characters in a new world. It’s a bit witchy and werewolfy and I’m hoping it will be great fun to plot and write.

I’ve realized I have a habit of rushing my early drafts, focusing mostly on conversation, unfolding action, plot points, character development, and the magic system. This time I want to see if I can write a little more slowly, a little more intentionally, setting the scene better and immersing the reader from the start.

Fingers crossed I’ve grown enough as a writer to meet that goal!
