So long 2024…

And thanks for the perspective.

Merry almost Christmas to those who celebrate and Happy Holidays to all! 2025 is almost here, and it’s time to look back at my goals for 2024.

My writing group continues to challenge me to improve and I’m so grateful. They are almost done reading book one of the Dreamcatcher series and I love the changes I’ve already made based on their feedback. Now the tricky part is to see if the ending is enough and what they think of book two next year. The first two books in the 4-book series read like a duology and I don’t know if it works. We’ll see!

I am so excited that I finished Red Hour this year and am ready to put it in the hands of beta readers. I really like this book and can’t wait to get feedback.

I’m still happily reading and reviewing lots of books and enjoying the bookstagram community.

I struggled to complete other writing goals this year, especially querying, but I got a heathy dose of perspective this fall after my husband’s accident. I remain happily focused on my thankfully healthy and happy family. Amidst injuries, professional changes, college applications and dozens of other changes and blessings, if my writing goals take a backseat, I am still exactly where I need to be, centered on my family.

Hug your loved ones close, and have a happy and safe new year!
