Time to embrace summer…

or get back to work?

So far this summer season, I’ve read a lot, had some pool and zoo time, and took a fun girls’ trip to Savannah, Georgia, but I haven’t gotten much work done in terms of writing goals. A few queries have gone out, I’ve dipped into Red Hour a bit, but otherwise I’m out of my groove.

Now, it’s time for me to decide whether or not to embrace this summer reality, be okay with my headspace being what it is, or try to dedicate a little time each week to focus on my writing.

But honestly, I have a feeling I’ll still be taking things one day at a time, staying flexible for weather reasons and to take advantage of quality family time. I can refocus once the kids are back in school in mid-August.
