Happy Halloween!
Here are my spooky season reads.
This summer I wrote a series of book recommendation posts covering my favorite genres, including mysteries. (Check it out here if you missed it).
I usually only read a handful of mysteries a year, since I mostly gobble up fantasy. (Big surprise.)
In honor of spooky season, I recently grabbed a big library haul of detective/crime novels, cozy mysteries, and thrillers. I was trying a lot of new-to-me authors and quit four of them based on my preferences (again, check out the post to learn more about my tastes). I have two more books to try but here are the winners so far, with links to my Goodreads reviews:
- Dark Truths – A.J. Cross
- Missing, Presumed – Susie Steiner
- The Burning Girls – C.J. Tudor
- The Broken Girls – Simone St. James
- Live and Let Chai – Bree Baker
- Murder in an Irish Village – Carlene O’Connor
